Forklift Operator Safety Training

The Forklift Operator Safety Training is part of Shelton State’s Workforce Solutions.  Workforce Solutions offers short term, non-credit courses to meet the changing needs of the people in the West Alabama area. Whether you are looking for a new career path or to add value to your current employment skills, we have the classes that work for you. Please contact us about classes that you would like to see offered or that you may be interested in teaching.

An 8-hour course designed to demonstrate proper forklift operation, following OSHA regulations.  This course consists of:

  • An up-to-date safety video complete with handbooks
  • Classroom review of videos, handbook, and other materials
  • Practical training driving a forklift, placing a load, and truck loading

Upon scoring 80% or better on a written test, participants will receive an operator’s license wallet card.

Class space is limited to the first 8 participants who have registered and paid.
If you are unable to attend the class, a 24 hour cancellation notice is required for a refund.
