Customized Training
Shelton State Workforce Development provides a broad range of training services to support West Alabama employers. Based on strong partnerships with local business and industry, our team collaborates closely with leaders to deliver high-quality instruction that enhances the skills required in today’s workforce. We offer certified training in areas such as computer skills, Microsoft applications, industrial maintenance technology, customer service, leadership and supervision, and quality systems. For existing businesses and industries, we also provide organizational development consulting and create customized training solutions tailored to specific operational needs.
All community and technical colleges in Alabama participate in the Alabama Talent Triad, which is an online platform that brings together job seekers and prospective employers in Alabama. EBSCO has collaborated with the Alabama Community College System to develop the integrated online data systems used to access student data. Student data is only shared when students log in to create a digital wallet. The digital wallet identifies matches between job seekers and skills-based job descriptions.
