Shelton State Community College Health Services to Open Evening Practical Nursing Class

September 1, 2021 – Shelton State Community College will offer an evening class for preparing practical nurses beginning in spring 2022.  The online application for the evening practical nursing class will open on September 1, 2021, and close on October 1, 2021.

The evening option for the practical nursing class will provide the same quality instruction and support available through daytime classes, but it will also offer flexibility for those previously unable to apply due to scheduling conflicts.  A three-semester program, the evening practical nursing classes will begin in January 2022 and conclude in December 2022.

“One of our priorities at the College is meeting the needs of our community,” said Gladys Hill, Associate Dean for Health Services.  “We continue to see the need for all levels of preparation for nurses in West Alabama, and this is an additional step in filling these needs.”
