Theatre Tuscaloosa to Hold Auditions for “All Together Now!”

Theatre Tuscaloosa presents "All Together Now!"

September 7, 2021 – Tuscaloosa is casting singers for “All Together Now,” a global fundraising event arranged by Music Theatre International (MTI). Auditions will be held on Thursday, September 23 from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Wilson Carr Rehearsal Hall on the Martin Campus of Shelton State Community College (9500 Old Greensboro Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405).

To help theatres across the globe get back on their feet after a year of closures, MTI has arranged a special, fundraiser event to be held the weekend of November 12 entitled “All Together Now!” The event will feature popular songs from some of Broadway’s most beloved musicals including Waitress, Ragtime, and Company.

Performers of any age, vocal range, gender, and race are welcome to audition for this event, and they are encouraged to choose songs they are interested in regardless of the characteristics of the originating character in the musical. Those interested in auditioning should review the guide available at www.theatretusc.com and sign up online in advance.

Auditionees may select up to three songs from the “All Together Now” options to learn in full and present at auditions. In-person auditions are preferred, but Theatre Tuscaloosa is willing to work with those who are unable to attend by arranging video submissions in advance.

“All Together Now!” is produced by special arrangement with MTI and with the support of the National Endowment for the Arts, the Alabama State Council on the Arts, Shelton State Community College, and Signature Sponsor Claire Friday.
