Theatre Tuscaloosa Announces Third Annual Online Auction

Theatre Tuscaloosa Flier

January 17, 2018 – Theatre Tuscaloosa’s online fundraising event, “Lights, Camera, Auction,” will go live for the third year on January 25-27, 2018, via its Facebook page (www.facebook.com/theatretusc).

The online auction will consist of items donated from local vendors and individuals in the Tuscaloosa community as well as Theatre Tuscaloosa alumni across the nation. Items will be posted on Theatre Tuscaloosa’s Facebook page for potential bidders to view before the auction album goes live.

Items that have been donated for the auction thus far include a doll who “played” baby Coalhouse in Ragtime, a one-hour private acting/coaching session with Executive Producer Tina Turley, a lake cabin get-away, a one-hour photo session with Porfirio Solorzano, a Pampered Chef gift set, a variety of antique items, a variety of artwork, among others.

To participate, bidders must navigate to the “Lights, Camera, Auction 2018” photo album on Theatre Tuscaloosa’s Facebook page (live now for previewing items), and then place a bid amount into the comment box on the photo of the item(s) on which they would like to bid. The participant who places the highest bid for each item before the auction closes will be the winner of that item. Bidding begins at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018, and will end at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Bids must not be deleted or edited once placed. Winners will be contacted to make payment and pick-up/delivery arrangements the week following the auction.

Payments may be made in person at the Ticket Office, mailed to Theatre Tuscaloosa, or submitted by phone at 205.391.2277. Cash, check, or credit/debit cards will be accepted. Items may be picked up at the Ticket Office during regular business hours; however, if the winner is unable to pick up in person, then the item can be shipped at cost.

Items are still being accepted for the auction through Monday, January 22. Because Theatre Tuscaloosa is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the value of donated items will be tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. All proceeds of the auction will benefit the artistic mission of Theatre Tuscaloosa: to provide quality theatrical experiences to the people of West Alabama on stage, behind the scenes, and in the audience.

For more information or to donate an item, visit www.theatretusc.com or call 205.391.2277.
