Theatre Tuscaloosa Announces Sixth Annual Online Auction

Lights Camera Auction 2021

March 11, 2021 – Theatre Tuscaloosa is hosting its sixth annual online fundraising event, “Lights, Camera, Auction!” at www.facebook.com/theatretusc from March 25-28, 2021. The funds raised from this event help Theatre Tuscaloosa serve its mission to provide quality theatrical experiences to the community of West Alabama. Bidding will open March 25 at noon and will close March 28 at midnight.

“Lights, Camera, Auction!” will include dozens of unique items/services such as vacation rentals, estate planning consultations, professional resume writing classes, handmade crafts by local artists, board games, and more. All items will be posted on Theatre Tuscaloosa’s Facebook page for potential bidders to view before the auction.

Tina Turley, Theatre Tuscaloosa Executive Producer said, “The auction has not only been a great way for our community to support our mission, but also for us to be able to spotlight artists, craftspeople, and skilled individuals from our own community in turn.”

To participate, bidders must navigate to the “Lights, Camera, Auction! 2021” photo album on Theatre Tuscaloosa’s Facebook page, and then place a bid amount into the comment box on the photo of the item(s) which they would like to win. The participant who places the highest bid for each item before the auction closes will be the winner of that item. Bids must not be deleted or edited once placed. Winners will be contacted via Facebook to make payment and pick-up/delivery arrangements the week following the auction.

Payments may be made online, mailed to Theatre Tuscaloosa, or submitted by phone at 205.391.2277. Cash, check, or credit/debit cards will be accepted. Items may be picked up by appointment only at the Ticket Office during regular business hours; however, if the winner is unable to pick up in person then the item can be shipped at cost.

Donated items and/or services are being accepted for the auction through March 22. Those who would like to donate items or services to the auction can pledge their support at www.theatretusc.com or make an appointment to deliver their donation to the ticket office during regular business hours. Theatre Tuscaloosa is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so the value of donated items will be tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
