People play the trumpet -- Trumpet Festival of the Southeast

February 3, 2020 – Shelton State Community College’s Dr. Elijah Pugh and six music students attended the 19^th Annual Trumpet Festival of the Southeast January 31 – February 2 in Kenesaw, Georgia. The festival hosted students from around the southeastern United States.

Shelton State music students performed as a trumpet ensemble in concert alongside ensembles from other attending colleges. The festival also included performances by Dr. Pugh and other attending professors, as well as masterclasses and concerts by world-renowned trumpet players in the jazz, orchestral, and chamber music genres.
