Shelton State Community College Welding Opens Evening Classes for Degree Seeking Students

May 13, 2021 – Until recently, Shelton State Community College’s welding program offered evening classes only to students interested in completing a short-term certificate. This summer, students who are interested in completing the College’s associate degree option in welding during evening classes will have the same opportunity.

“We expect this option to create opportunities for those who wish to go a step further in their education,” said Grant Cockrell, Associate Dean of Technical Services. “We have classes available this summer for those ready to jump right in.”

Summer classes begin on May 24, and registration for welding and other technical programs is ongoing.
