Shelton State to Host Preview Day on February 18, 2023

January 23, 2023 – Shelton State Community College will host Spring Preview Day on Saturday, February 18, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on the Martin Campus. Check-in starts at 9:45 a.m.  The event is free and open to the public.

As Tuscaloosa’s community college, Shelton State provides career opportunities and an authentic college-town experience.  Opportunities are available in various technical and health services programs on both campuses.  Programs at the Martin Campus include air conditioning and refrigeration, business office management and technology, computerized numerical control, diesel mechanics, electrical technology, engineering graphics and design technology, nursing, industrial electronics, industrial maintenance, machine tool technology, modern manufacturing, salon and spa management, welding, and wellness.  Programs at the Fredd Campus include automotive service technology, child development, computer science, culinary arts, health information technology, medical laboratory technician, and respiratory therapy.

Guests can apply for admission to the College, receive financial aid and scholarship information, and register to win a full-tuition scholarship waiver.  Students who wish to apply for admission, financial aid, scholarships, or speak with corporate partners for technical programs, should arrive at 9:00 a.m.
