Shelton State to Honor Veterans on November 7

October 30, 2024 – Shelton State Community College (SSCC) will honor Veterans at Veterans Fan Appreciation Night on Thursday, November 7 at 6:30 p.m. in conjunction with the Southland International Tournament hosted by SSCC Men’s Basketball. Games will begin at 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. The Shelton State Buccaneers will play in the 7:00 p.m. game. All veterans, as well as spouses and dependents of veterans, will be acknowledged throughout the evening.

As part of the celebration, free admission will be available for all active military personnel, reservists, guardsmen, and veterans. Free admission will also be available to spouses and dependents.

“As always, we’re grateful to once again show our appreciation to our service members and their families,” stated Eric Prewitt, SSCC Director of Financial Aid. “This annual event is a favorite among both our guests and our athletes, and we look forward to an exciting evening for everyone involved.”
