Shelton State Summer Art Series Welcomes Louise L. Foster

Summer Art Series

April 9, 2018 – Shelton State Community College Community Education announces their Summer Art Series with renowned artist Louise L. Foster. Summer courses will be available in drawing, watercolor, and acrylic/pastels. Ms. Foster will teach all courses at the Martin Campus, and all skill levels are encouraged. Attendees must be at least sixteen years of age.

An art instructor for many years, Louise L. “Larry Lou” Foster’s knowledge and experience includes drawing, watercolor, acrylic, oil design, printing, Japanese paper making, book binding, pigment, and even international folk dancing. With degrees from Auburn University, George Washington University, and the University of Alabama, Foster has extensive experience in workshop instruction.

“We are so excited about this opportunity,” said series coordinator Rachel Waldrop. “Larry Lou is such an enthusiastic teacher that she makes me feel a brand new excitement. Her versatility allows us to provide unique experiences, and we look forward to what she has in store!”

Each course is $99. Space is limited, and early registration is recommended.
