Shelton State Makes Contributions to Adopt-a-School Partner

April 6, 2018 – Shelton State Community College (SSCC) student organizations concluded campus-wide fundraising efforts with a $2,100 monetary donation and gifts of non-perishable items for students at their adopt-a-school partner, Englewood Elementary School.

Shelton State’s Student Leadership Council accepted donations for their Secret Meals Backpack project in the late fall and the Share the Love project during Homecoming 2018. In cooperation with the College’s Adopt-a-School partner, Englewood Elementary School, proceeds from the projects will fund weekend meals for students and families in need.

The College is grateful to those who participated in the Secret Meals Backpack project and the Share the Love project.
