Shelton State Hosts Healthcare Exploration Camp

March 13, 2026 – Shelton State Community College (SSCC) Workforce Development in partnership with the College’s Health Services will offer a four day health exploration camp June 22 – June 25, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on the College’s Martin Campus. Registration is open to students who are entering grades 9-12 and interested in healthcare professions. The cost per student is $200 and will include lunch. The registration deadline is May 23, 2026.

Participants in the health exploration camp will receive basic healthcare training including blood draw techniques and procedures for taking vital signs. They will hear from local healthcare providers and learn how technology is transforming modern medicine. During the camp, students will also have an opportunity to earn first aid and CPR certification.
