Shelton State Hosts Dual Enrollment Nursing Pathway Session

March 26, 2026 – Shelton State Community College will host an information session for high school students interested in practical nursing on Tuesday, April 7 at 6:00 p.m. in the Alabama Power Recital Hall on the College’s Martin Campus. The session is free.

The information session is designed for students and parents interested in learning how dual enrollment can jump-start a career in healthcare while students are still in high school. Attendees will receive important details about the practical nursing program and admission requirements. Additionally, staff will explain how a student’s nursing pathway can be mapped out during high school, including recommended courses and requirements that align with the practical nursing program.
