Shelton State Homecoming 2018 Activities Scheduled

January 29, 2018 – Homecoming activities at Shelton State Community College are scheduled for February 5-10, 2018. The celebratory week will culminate with SSCC women’s and men’s basketball games on Saturday, February 10 and will include a pre-game alumni reception at 1:00 p.m. and the crowning of the 2018 Homecoming King and Queen at half-time of the men’s basketball game.

This year’s theme, A Tradition of Champions, acknowledges the accomplishments of Shelton State athletes and students. In addition to Saturday’s events, Homecoming activities will include Wednesday’s mid-week poetry groove and a spirit night at Jason’s Deli on Thursday, February 8.

“We are excited about this year’s homecoming events, the return of the SSCC Homecoming Court, and the addition of the title of Homecoming King, which has not been done before,” said NorQuina Rieves, the College’s Student Engagement Coordinator. “We are looking forward to an exciting week, and we hope that alumni will return to campus and join us for Saturday’s events.”

Other on-campus events will be held throughout the week.
