Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Shelton State Community College’s @theDome summer 2019 programming will introduce new educational opportunities. In addition to already popular camps and workshops, this year’s summer lineup will also include the updated STEM Academy. Registration is available now.
In the STEM Academy, student participants will learn critical science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts that meet National Science Standards. The STEM Academy will reinforce and add to previously learned classroom skills and concepts. Each teacher will work with students on an individual basis to provide instruction and continued learning opportunities.
A College-wide program, @theDome serves as the primary designation and information source for all Shelton State K-12 outreach camps and programs. With opportunities also available in athletics, culinary arts, theatre, LEGO engineering, and cosmetology, @theDome programs are designed to accommodate all ages and a wide variety of interests.
