Shelton State Community College Workforce Development Offers Free ACT Prep Course for Bibb County Residents

Bibb County ACT Prep

October 14, 2024 – Shelton State Community College (SSCC) Workforce Development will offer a free, six-week ACT preparation course for Bibb County residents beginning October 28 and continuing November 4, 13, 18, and December 2 and 9. Each session will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The location will be provided for participants upon registration.

In the course, students will learn how each section of the ACT is designed, so they can approach that section with an effective strategy. They will then individually use these concepts on a practice test and participate in discussion about the questions. This process of practicing and refining will sharpen the student’s thinking skills for the test.

“Shelton State Workforce Development is pleased to provide the ACT Preparation Course for Bibb County residents at no cost, thanks to Alabama Centers for Rural Healthcare Opportunity grant program administered by the Alabama Community College System,” shared Emily Wyatt, SSCC Workforce Development Project Manager. “This is a perfect opportunity for students who need assistance with test taking skills and preparation.”

Students may register by emailing Emily Wyatt at ewyatt@sheltonstate.edu.
