Shelton State Community College Workforce Development Offers Babysitting Training Camp

May 16, 2025 – Shelton State Community College (SSCC) Workforce Development will offer a week-long training camp for those interested in childcare. The College’s “Becoming a Babysitter Camp” will be held July 14-18.  The cost is $150 and includes CPT certification, a textbook, craft kits, and a goodie bag.

Participants will attend training from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for Friday’s CPR certification. Participants will finish their emergency and engagement training with skills, safety knowledge, and fun, hands-on experiences to become a confident, trustworthy babysitter.

Becoming a Babysitter Camp is limited to fourteen (14) attendees. Interested participants are encouraged to register soon.
