Shelton State Community College Workforce Development Offers ACT Prep Course Beginning September 16

Shelton State Community College

September 10, 2024 –Shelton State Community College Workforce Development will offer a six-week ACT preparation course beginning September 16 on the Martin Campus.

In the course, students will learn how each section of the ACT is designed, so they can approach that section with an effective strategy. They will then individually use these concepts on a practice test and participate in discussion about the questions. This process of practicing and refining will sharpen the student’s thinking skills for the test.

“The ACT is often thought of as a test of knowledge gained throughout high school in preparation for college,” said Nathan Kenny, ACT Prep Instructor.  “While some concept knowledge is necessary, the test itself assesses the skill of effective thinking.”

The cost for the course is $250. Students may register by emailing Emily Wyatt at ewyatt@sheltonstate.edu.
