Shelton State Community College Workforce Development Offers ACT Prep Course

January 16, 2025 – Shelton State Community College (SSCC) Workforce Development will offer an eight-week ACT preparation course on the Martin Campus beginning February 1 and continuing on February 8, 15, 22, and March 1, 22, 29, and April 5. Each session except February 22 will be from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The session held on February 22 will be from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. All sessions will be located in room 1914A.

In the course, students will learn how each section of the ACT is designed, so they can approach that section with an effective strategy. They will then individually use these concepts on a practice test and participate in discussion about the questions. This process of practicing and refining will sharpen the student’s thinking skills for the test.
