Shelton State Community College to Recognize High School Seniors on May 1

Decision Day May 1, 2021

April 5, 2021 – Shelton State Community College will recognize high school seniors planning to attend the College on May 1, 2021, through Virtual Decision Day 2021.

High school seniors who have been accepted to Shelton State are asked to submit a photo of themselves holding their acceptance certificate. If a certificate has not yet been received, future SSCC students may also use a photo in their cap and gown, high school teamwear, or Shelton State clothing. Entries may be submitted to recruitment@sheltonstate.edu. Photos will be accepted through Friday, April 30.

A random drawing will select two participants for $500 book scholarships.

“The selection of a college is one of the most important decisions students will make, and it is also an exciting opportunity to think about the future,” stated TJ Smith, SSCC’s Director of Recruitment. “We want all graduates – particularly those who will be joining us in the fall – to know that we celebrate this step in their lives. We are excited to have students become a part of the Shelton State family.”

In addition to those already accepted, Shelton State continues to process admission applications for the summer and fall semester. For more information, visit sheltonstate.edu/register.
