Shelton State Community College to Provide One-Day Forklift Operator Safety Training

Forklift Operator Training

March 10, 2020 – Shelton State Community College Workforce Development (SSCC) will provide Forklift Operator Safety Training Courses. Participants may register for a session for Saturday, March 27 or Saturday, April 24. Both classes will be held from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the College’s Martin Campus. The course fee is $200.00.

The Forklift Operator Safety Training course is designed to demonstrate proper forklift operation following OSHA guidelines and regulations. Upon scoring 80% or better on a written test, participants will receive an operator’s license wallet card.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to expand a skill-set or create a new one,“ said Darryl Ballew, Forklift Training Instructor. “Over the course of just one day, our participants walk away with a skill that can enhance their employability and open new doors.”

Class space is limited to the first eight participants who register. If unable to attend class, a 24-hour cancellation notice is required.
