Shelton State Community College to Offer ServSafe® Food Safety Training

October 13, 2021 – Shelton State Community College’s Workforce Development will offer ServSafe® food safety training on November 1 and 2, 2021, from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on the College’s Martin Campus.  The fee for the eight-hour course is $175 and includes the course textbook and exam voucher.

 

The ServSafe® program is the premier food safety training offered by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation.   Proper safety training through the course aids in the prevention of food-borne illnesses.

 

“Food safety training is an important part of increasing the number of qualified employees for the hospitality industry,” stated Rachel Waldrop in SSCC’s Workforce Development.  “Through this course, we will instill a heightened sense of safety awareness and better prepare our workforce.”
