Shelton State Community College to Induct Humphrey Lee at Hall of Fame Ceremony June 21
June 6, 2025 – Shelton State Athletics is excited to announce the induction of Humphrey Lee into the Athletics Hall of Fame.
Lee served Shelton State as Dean of Students, Athletic Director, and Assistant Softball Coach. He also served 14 years as president of Northwest-Shoals Community College (NWSCC), a public institution with two campuses in Muscle Shoals and Phil Campbell, Alabama.
Lee has 42 years of experience in education and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration, M.A. in Counseling and Guidance, and a B.A. in Biology from The University of Alabama. He is active in his community with various civic organizations and has served as President of the Alabama Community College Association, Chairman of the Shoals Chamber of Commerce, Regional Coordinator of Phi Theta Kappa, and serves on the Board of Directors for North Alabama Industrial Development Association, Shoals Economic Development Authority, and Shoals Entrepreneurial Center. Lee is a graduate of Leadership Alabama.
Since his retirement, Lee has continued serving on the Helen Keller Hospital Foundation Board, as Ex-officio Board Member for the Lauderdale County Agriculture Center, and as a member of the Greater Shoals Rotary club. He is a member of College View Church of Christ.
The 2025 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the Martin Campus Atrium. Tickets for the ceremony are $75 each or $500 for a table. Tickets may be purchased by visiting Shelton State Community College Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony. Cocktail attire is requested for all guests.
