Shelton State Community College to Host Preview Night Events

October 14, 2021 – Shelton State Community College will offer previews of all academic, health services, and technical programs on the Fredd Campus and the Martin Campus.  Preview Night on the Fredd Campus will be held on Thursday, November 4 at 5:30 p.m.  Preview Night on the Martin Campus will be Tuesday, November 9 at 5:30 p.m.  Both events are free to the public and all are invited to attend.

As Tuscaloosa’s community college, Shelton State provides career opportunities and a true college town experience.  Opportunities are available in various technical and health services programs on both campuses.  Programs at the Martin Campus include air conditioning and refrigeration, business office management and technology, computerized numerical control, diesel mechanics, electrical technology, engineering graphics and design technology, nursing, industrial electronics, industrial maintenance, machine tool technology, modern manufacturing, salon and spa management, welding, and wellness.  Programs at the Fredd Campus include automotive service technology, child development, computer science, culinary arts, health information technology, medical laboratory technician, and respiratory therapy.

“Preview events are more than just a tradition at Shelton State,” said TJ Smith, Director of Recruitment.  “We utilize these events to inform our potential students and their families of the many high-demand, high-wage career possibilities in West Alabama. These evenings are designed with the future in mind and to encourage those who will contribute to our community.”
