Shelton State Community College to Honor Veterans at Tournament

Shelton State Veterans Appreciation

November 4, 2021 – Shelton State Community College (SSCC) will honor Veterans on Thursday, November 11 at the Southland Invitational Tournament being held on the Martin Campus. Veteran guests will be acknowledged during the evening’s games.

As part of the evening’s celebration, free admission will be available for all active military personnel, reservists, guardsmen, and veterans. Free admission will also be available to spouses and dependents.  Games begin in the gymnasium at 3:00 p.m. with SSCC men’s basketball tipping off at 5:00 p.m.

“With all the challenges surrounding COVID-19, we’re grateful to once again show our appreciation to our service members and their families,” stated Eric Prewitt, SSCC Veterans Resource Center Manager.  “What better way to express this than by extending an invitation to our campus to share in the excitement of our athletic programs.”
