Terrific Tuesday Concert Series Features Wayne Gilreath and Christy Lee

February 1, 2020 – Shelton State Community College’s 2019-20 Terrific Tuesday Concert Series will host pianists Wayne Gilreath and Christy Lee on Tuesday, February 4 at 1:00 p.m. in the Alabama Power Recital Hall on the Martin Campus. Admission is free and open to the public for all Terrific Tuesday concerts.

As individuals, Wayne Gilreath and Christy Lee have an exciting array of performances to their credit as soloists, collaborative pianists, and conductors. As a duo, they bring their combined skill sets of technique, artistry, and ensemble to create a delightful combination that features piano duet repertoire from both the classical and the contemporary sacred realms. Their program “Four-Hand Dances and Devotions” will feature composers such as Brahms, Poulenc, and Barber, as well as arrangements of well-known hymns and spirituals.

Shelton State’s Terrific Tuesday Concert Series is designed to showcase a variety of repertory styles. Weekly performances are offered by guest artists as well as Shelton State faculty and students.
