SHELTON STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE TERRIFIC TUESDAY CONCERT HOSTS SLADE TRAMMELL
Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Shelton State Community College’s 2019-20 Terrific Tuesday Concert Series will host pianist Slade Trammell on Tuesday, February 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the Alabama Power Recital Hall on the Martin Campus. Admission is free and open to the public for all Terrific Tuesday concerts.
A native of North Carolina, Trammell has appeared in concert across North America and in Europe. A pupil of Earl Wild, Serge Fournier, and Ruth Slenczynska, Trammell gave the European premiere of Wild’s Sonata 2000 in 2011 while concertizing in Austria. As a first prize winner of the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition, he made his Italian debut in December 2018 at the Teatro Studio, Parco della Musica in Rome. The program will include works by Scarlatti, Debussy, and Liszt.
Shelton State’s Terrific Tuesday Concert Series is designed to showcase a variety of repertory styles. Weekly performances are offered by guest artists as well as Shelton State faculty and students.
