Shelton State Community College Phi Theta Kappa to Host Princess Ball

Princess Ball

April 4, 2019 – Shelton State Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa will host a community-wide Princess Ball on Friday, April 26 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Atrium of the Martin Campus. Children ages 4 through 11 are invited to attend accompanied by an adult chaperone. Tickets for the Princess Ball are $25 per couple and $10 per additional attending princess. Tickets may be purchased by visiting sheltonstate.edu/princessball.

All Princess Ball attendees are encouraged to arrive in their finest attire including princess costumes or other “royal” clothing. Food will be provided.

Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society recognizes and encourages scholarship among two-year college students. Shelton State’s Alabama Epsilon Iota chapter provides opportunities for the development of leadership and service among its members. Members of the chapter will serve as official hosts for the Princess Ball and will participate in games and activities with all attendees.

“Our members are incredibly enthusiastic about hosting this event,” said Kevin Windham, Phi Theta Kappa sponsor. “In addition to the benefits we will receive through fundraising, this is an excellent way for us to be a contributing part of our community. What’s more, this promises to be a great time!”

All proceeds from the Princess Ball will benefit Phi Theta Kappa through support for state and national trips, honors seminars, and scholarships. Local vendors or businesses interested in providing donations or sponsorships may contact Phi Theta Kappa sponsor Kevin Windham at kwindham@sheltonstate.edu.
