Shelton State Community College Hosts Health Services and Technical Programs Preview Events

October 20, 2018– Shelton State Community College will offer previews of all health services and technical programs on the Martin Campus and the Fredd Campus. Preview Night on the Martin Campus will be Thursday, November 8 at 6:00 p.m. with check-in beginning at 5:30 p.m. Preview Night on the C.A. Fredd Campus will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at 6:00 p.m. with check-in beginning at 5:30 p.m. Both events are free to the public, and all are invited to attend. Registration is recommended.

As Tuscaloosa’s community college, Shelton State provides career opportunities and a true college town experience. Opportunities are available in various technical and health services programs on both campuses. Programs at the Martin Campus include air conditioning and refrigeration, business office management and technology, computer science technology, computerized numerical control, cosmetology, diesel mechanics, electrical technology, engineering graphics and design technology, nursing, industrial electronics, industrial maintenance, logistics/supply chain management, machine tool technology, welding, and wellness. Programs at the Fredd Campus include automotive service technology, child development, culinary arts, health information technology, and respiratory therapy.

“We encourage all high school students to take advantage of these preview events,” said T.J. Smith, Director of Recruitment. “In addition to the programs we’ve become known for, students will find new and updated options, as well.”
