Shelton State Community College Cosmetology to Host Back-to-School Cuts & Styles August 5 & 6

July 8, 2024 – Shelton State Community College (SSCC) Cosmetology invites community members to participate in its special Back-to-School Cuts & Styles event on August 5 and 6, 2024, on the College’s Martin Campus.

Services to be offered include haircuts, styles, simple braids*, crocheting*, and loc retwists. The cosmetology salon will be open each day from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Appointments for the Back-to-School event are requested. Please call 205.391.2496 to schedule.

In addition to this special event, the SSCC cosmetology salon offers services to the public.  The salon, located on Shelton State’s Martin Campus, is open in the summer semester Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for multiple services, including haircuts and manicures. Appointments can be made, but walk-in customers are welcome.

Revenue generated by SSCC cosmetology services supports the functions of the salon and allows students to attend classes from product educators and participate in continuing education opportunities before entering the industry.
