Shelton State Community College Closed Through Sunday, April 5

March 16, 2020 – In response to the Memorandum regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) State Government Operations dated March 15, 2020, issued by the Office of the Governor and Memorandum #2020-EXE-016 dated March 15, 2020, from Chancellor Jimmy Baker, Shelton State Community College has closed both the Martin Campus and C.A. Fredd Campus to the general public through Sunday, April 5, 2020.

 

Shelton State Community College’s spring break is scheduled for this week (March 16-20). The College will extend spring break for students through at least Friday, March 27. Students should not return to either campus, and there will be no instruction during this time.

 

Beginning Monday, March 30, 2020, online classes will resume. Also on March 30, students previously enrolled in on-campus courses will complete coursework via remote instruction. Instructors will email directions to students for accessing course materials no later than Friday, March 27, 2020. Students will receive the information through their myShelton email. This action will be re-evaluated on or before Sunday, April 5, 2020.

 

Shelton State Community College has no reported or suspected cases of COVID-19, however, we are continuing to encourage simple precautionary measures for staying well – frequent handwashing, covering coughs and sneezes, staying home if you have fever, and taking flu antivirals as prescribed.
