Shelton State Community College Celebrates Veterans Appreciation Week

November 2, 2017 – Shelton State Community College honors veterans through on-campus activities November 8 and 9.

On Wednesday, November 8, all faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to show support for their favorite military branch of service through wearing the following colors: Air Force – gray; Army – green; Coast Guard – white; Marines – red; Navy – blue.

On Thursday, November 9, the College will host Veteran Fan Appreciation Night at the Southland Invitational Tournament. Free admission will be available for all active military personnel, reservists, guardsmen, and veterans. Free admission will also be available to spouses and dependents. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. in the gymnasium on Shelton State’s Martin Campus.
