Shelton State Community College Extends Spring Break and Temporarily Discontinues on-Campus Instruction

March 13, 2020 – Shelton State Community College’s spring break is scheduled for next week (March 16-20). The College will extend spring break for students through Friday, March 27, 2020. Students should not return to either campus, and there will be no instruction during this time.

 

Beginning Monday, March 30, 2020, students will continue coursework via remote instruction. Instructors will email directions to students for accessing course materials no later than Friday, March 27, 2020. Students will receive the information through their myShelton email.

 

This action will be re-evaluated on or before Friday, April 3, 2020.

 

While classes will not be taking place on campus and all events are canceled through Friday April 3, 2020, the College will otherwise continue normal operations.

 

Shelton State Community College has no reported or suspected cases of COVID-19, however, we are continuing to encourage simple precautionary measures for staying well – frequent handwashing, covering coughs and sneezes, staying home if you have fever, and taking flu antivirals as prescribed.
