Shelton State Community College Announces Fall Registration Date

June 4, 2019 – Shelton State Community College (SSCC) is in the process of transitioning to a new system that will streamline processes and information. The new pilot platform, OneACCS, is a single, cloud-based system that will be used throughout the Alabama Community College System (ACCS).

With this upgrade in mind, the first day of fall registration is tentatively set for July 15. The implementation of new technology will provide enhanced services and unprecedented access from mobile devices. New and current students are encouraged to meet with their advisors ahead of the transition to OneACCS to prepare for fall registration. The transition will not affect summer registration.

The overall process for OneACCS is a large undertaking that involves all student, financial, accounts receivable, and human resources records, and the registration date is tentative based on transition completion. If registration dates are updated or changed, students will be notified via email, social media, website, and local media outlets.

“Although the ACCS as a whole certainly benefits from this upgrade, we are particularly excited about what this change means for our students,” states SSCC Dean of Students Amanda Harbison. “Using OneACCS, students will be able to register for classes, check grades, and get up-to-date information on financial aid.”

Other colleges in the first group for OneACCS are Calhoun, Drake State, Gadsden State, Jefferson State, Northwest-Shoals, Snead State, Wallace-Selma, and Wallace State – Hanceville.
