Shelton State to Host Preview Event on Martin Campus November 19

November 2, 2026 – Shelton State Community College will host Preview Night on Thursday, November 19 at the Martin Campus. Check-in will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the event will begin at 6:00 p.m.

This year’s Preview Night will showcase many areas of the College, including technical and health services, workforce development, fine arts, academics, and student organizations. Attendees will explore programs, connect with faculty, staff, and current students, and take part in a panel discussion.

As Tuscaloosa’s community college, Shelton State provides career opportunities and a true college town experience, with programs designed to prepare students for the workforce or for transfer to a four-year institution.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for students to visit our campus and explore the many programs and pathways available to them,” said Sharda’ Smith, Director of Postsecondary Pathways. “Figuring out which path to take can be challenging, and we want our students to know that we are here to help them navigate those decisions. This event allows them to engage with our faculty, staff, and students and see firsthand how Shelton State provides education that works.”

In addition to learning more about programs and career opportunities, guests will be able to tour the College and discover more about student engagement at Shelton State.
