Shelton State Dance Program to Present Spring Concert

March 13, 2026 – Shelton State Community College’s dance program will present its spring concert on Thursday, March 26 at 6:00 p.m. in the Bean Brown Theatre on the Martin Campus. Admission is free and all are invited to attend.

Under the direction of Kevin Guy, the spring concert will feature current dancers investigating the core principles of space, time, and gravity.

“The students were introduced to the Merce Cunningham technique, focusing on developing the strength, flexibility, and autonomy of the legs and spine,” said Guy.  “The dancers will showcase their growth, moving from the basics of contractions and spirals to a confident and expressive presentation of both stationary and traveling movements.”
