Association of Respiratory Care Students

The Shelton State Community College Association of Respiratory Care Students (SSARCS) is open to students who are enrolled in any approved respiratory therapy program or students enrolled in courses in preparation for the program. The purpose of the organization is to promote greater interest and awareness of the Respiratory Therapy program at Shelton State Community College; to further the awareness of technological advancements and to broaden the scope of study in respiratory therapy; promote public awareness of the respiratory care profession; participate in community health promotions and educational activities; serve the College and the West Alabama community; and to encourage membership and participation in the professional Respiratory Care Associations after graduation.
