This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Shelton State Portal (myShelton) and the Shelton State Community College website.

The College uses return email addresses as our way of communicating with you now and after you have applied. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, the College has put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information

Students can access and update their address and telephone information that we collect using the Student Portal (myShelton). If you have a change of name request, you must fill out a form in the Office of Enrollment Services. The College uses these procedures to better safeguard your information.

 

To protect your privacy and security, the College also takes reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
