Injection molding courses are designed to train qualified workers in the injection molding field and provide a training path to employment. Training opportunities are also available for process technicians.

Students will learn safety and the use of personal protective equipment, lock out/tag out, machine parts and functions, mold opening and closing, types of nozzles and nozzle leaks, crane safety and controls, and much more.

Mold Setter Training will include the following topics:

  • Safety and PPE
  • Introduction to Injection Molding
  • Clamp Units
  • Material Handling Systems
  • Mold Setup
  • Mold Alignment
  • Mold Clamping and Ejecting
  • Nozzle Tips
  • Crane

Cost – $725

Injection molding courses are designed to train qualified workers in the injection molding field and provide a training path to employment. Training opportunities are also available for mold setters.

 

Students will learn machine safety features and Lock Out/Tag Out, establish scientific mold process, and visual and dimensional defects, understanding plastics, processing parameters for scientific molding, mold opening and mold closing, melt temp testing, thermolaters,  and much more.

 

Process Technician I Training will include the following topics:

  • Safety and PPE
  • Scientific Processing & Troubleshooting
  • Troubleshooting
  • Materials Handling
  • Parameters and controls,
  • Mold Clamping and Ejection
  • Basic Molding Formulas/Melt Temps
  • Mold Cooling/Heating
  • Introduction to Injection Molding
  • Injection Molding Maintenance

Students will learn the understanding of electric and hydraulic molding machines, injection mold fundamentals, first stage injection speed, transfer, and pressure, packing time and pressure, math for scientific molders,  cooling time, mold filling, gating, and weld lines, and much more.

 

Process Technician II will include the following topics:

  • Introduction to Injection Molding Machines
  • Mold Design Fundamentals
  • Processing with Electrical Injection Molding Machines vs. Hydraulic
  • First Stage: Injection
  • Second Stage: Packing
  • Injection Mold Maintenance
  • Advance Scientific Molding
  • Part Design
