Certification includes forty (40) hours of classroom instruction and lab and approximately one (1) hour for the exam.

 

Note: Upon successful completion of the course and a 70 % or greater exam score, participants will earn the Certified Front Desk Representative certification.

 

Topics include:

All Employee Knowledge:  Property Standards, Personal Appearance, Uniforms, Property Policies, Manager on Duty, Property Facilities, Safety Regulations, Quality Guest Service, Emergencies.

 

Front Desk Representative Position Specific Knowledge:  Front Desk Representative, First Impressions, Folio, Guestroom Equipment and Amenities, POS Equipment , Property Management System, Rooms Management Software, Reservations, Room Inventory and Occupancy Terms , Guest Service Role in Cleanliness and Safety, Loyalty Programs , Pre-Arrival Procedures, Arrival Procedures, Occupancy Procedures, Departure/End of Shift Procedures, Hands-On Training.

Guestroom Attendant Position Specific Knowledge:  Getting to Know the Guestroom Attendant, During Your Shift – Steps to Cleaning Guestroom , Job Breakdowns: Guestroom Attendant.

Note: Upon successful completion of the course and a 70 % or greater exam score, participants will earn the Certified Restaurant Server certification.

 

Topics include:

All Employee Knowledge:  Property Standards, Personal Appearance, Uniforms, Property Policies, Manager on Duty, Property Facilities, Safety Regulations, Quality Guest Service, Emergencies.

 

Restaurant Server Position Specific Knowledge:  Kitchen Safety, Restaurant Menus, Food Preparation Terms and Timing, Pre-Meal Preparation, During the meal – Steps of Service, Respond to Dissatisfied Guests, Maintain Tables, After the Meal Sequence of Service, Alcoholic Beverages, Responsible Alcohol Service, Hands-On Training.
