Join the Shelton State Student Leadership Council in raising funds for Secret Meals for Hungry Children.  Many children rely heavily on free and reduced price school breakfasts and lunches. The Secret Meals Backpack Program services fifty-one schools in the West Alabama area by discretely slipping nutritional meals into backpacks each Friday so that no child is hungry on Saturday and Sunday.

    Our goal is to raise
$2,100 to support the students from our Adopt-A-School, Englewood Elementary, who benefit from this program.  Donations can be made to the Cashier’s Office by mentioning the “Secret Meals Backpack Project.” No donation is too small.

The Secret Meals for Hungry Children program was created by the
    Alabama Credit Union in 2008.
It costs $140 (on average) to sponsor one child for the school year.
100% of every penny donated goes toward the purchase of food packs.
