Dean of Student Services
Dr. Tom Huebner became the Dean of Students in the fall of 2011 after serving the college as Director of Institutional Effectiveness. Dr. Huebner has spent 20 years in higher education, most of which has been devoted to teaching communication and working closely with intercollegiate speech and debate students. Dr. Huebner's first administrative job included working in admissions, then, enrollment management, but he also has experience as a chief student affairs officer. His academic background includes undergraduate majors in English and communication as well as a master's degree in communication and a Ph.D. in communication with a minor in statistics/research methods.
The Student Services Division coordinates the efforts of several areas, including:
- Student Services Administration
- Testing and Assessment
- Admissions and Records
- Financial Aid
- Specialized Services (ADA and International compliance)
- Student Clubs, Groups and Organizations
- Adult Basic Education/GED Preparation
- Student Disciplinary Services
- Institutional Effectiveness, Planning, and Quality
The Division of Student Services works with all other areas and divisions of the College in an effort to provide the highest levels of support to students, faculty, staff, and the community.
