The grade of IP is administratively changed to a U.

What happens if a student receives a grade of IP, but withdraws during the next semester?

What should a student do if he or she wishes to receive a grade of IP?
A student who does not feel he or she will successfully complete a course by the end of the semester should speak to his or her instructor to determine if the student is eligible to receive the grade of IP.

What are the financial implications of receiving a grade of IP?

A student who receives a grade of IP and subsequently registers for the course the next semester is required to pay for the course.  If the student receives Federal Financial Aid, financial aid funds may be applied subject to regular guidelines.
