Program of Study

SSCC awards the Associate in Arts Degree, the Associate in Science Degree, and the Associate in Applied Science Degree. The College also offers two types of certificate programs: certificate programs and short-term certificate programs. 
Note: Program of Study checklist are for advisement puposes only. The checklists do not guarantee that a student has met all graduation requirements at SSCC. Please refer to the SSCC Catalog and contact the Office of Admissions and Records for further information.

TRANSFER, UNDECIDED, GENERAL STUDIES STUDENTS
Students who plan to transfer, who are undecided in their program of study, or who wish to receive a two-year General Studies degree from SSCC should use the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science checklist. Transfer students should also follow the information below.

TRANSFER STUDENTS
A. Students who plan to transfer to an Alabama public four-year college and who are seeking an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree should obtain and follow a transfer guide from STARS.
 
B. Students who plan to transfer to an out-of-state or private four-year college and who are seeking an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree should obtain a catalog from the four-year institution and, with the assistance of an advisor, develop a plan of study appropriate for the students major at the accepting institution.
