2013-2014 Financial Aid
Financial aid is NOT automatically renewed each year.
FINANCIAL AID PRIORITY DEADLINES
YOU NEED TO KNOW
Apply for financial aid at http://www.fafsa.gov.
If you would like help with your FAFSA for the upcoming spring term, please plan to attend one of our workshops.
If you are a dependent student (under twenty-four, not married, not supporting children), please bring a parent to complete the entire process during the workshop.
You do not have to make an appointment to attend; it usually takes about twenty to thirty minutes to complete the process.
The U.S. Department of Education began sending Personal Identification Number (PIN) reminders to email addresses provided on the 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on January 13. The PIN is required to renew your FAFSA online for the 2014-2015 academic year. If you did not provide a valid email address, your PIN will be mailed to the address you provided on your 2013-2014 FAFSA. To apply for a PIN or request a duplicate PIN, please go to: http://www.pin.ed.gov/.
Your PIN is important for making the application process easier now and in the future. Shelton State Community College does not issue the PIN; therefore, the school will not have access to your PIN. Please make sure that you keep your PIN in a safe place.
NOT ATTENDING SHELTON STATE
If you are not currently attending Shelton State Community College and do not plan to attend for the 2014-2015 academic year, please remove our school code 005691 from your 2013-2014 FAFSA.
