Emergency Preparedness   

Shelton State Community College utilizes a state-of-the-art emergency notification system called CampusCast. This system will allow you to receive rapid notification should an emergency occur that could impact the College. You can receive alerts via email, text messaging, land-line and/or cell phone. Standard charges for incoming calls and text messages may apply. Please check with your coverage provider if you have questions concerning those charges.

The CampusCast Emergency Notification System used by Shelton State Community College is only available to employees and currenly enrolled students.

During the first few weeks of each semester, a CampusCast email will be sent to each student and employee. This email refers to the CampusCast dashboard, which allows users the option of making changes to their contact information. Failure to log in and edit your contact preferences may prohibit you from receiving accurate and timely CampusCast alert notifications. 

To log into your CampusCast Dashboard, please go to https://www.myschoolcast.com/go/shelton/.

Students:  Sign in using your myShelton username and eight-digit date of birth (in the format MMDDYYYY) as your password.

    1. Enter your myShelton username:  example S00000000
    2. Enter your myShelton password:  (your eight-digit date of birth) example 01011998

Employees:  Sign in using your Shelton State username and password.

Your cell phone number is the most important contact point you can provide for timely emergency notifications. The College requests that all users enter an accurate cell phone number as their first priority number to be used in the event of an emergency, school closing, or other urgent event requiring immediate attention.
