What is the program?
The Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology program is the study of refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning systems. Theory and practical work are offered in refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, heat pumps and special systems.
When is the program offered?
Courses are taught year round during the day and evening to accommodate a wide range of schedules for full-and part-time students.
What awards does the program lead to and how long does it take?
Students may earn a Certificate or an Associate in Applied Science Degree (AAS). Students enrolled full-time may complete a certificate in as little as three to four semesters (12 to 18 months) or an AAS in two years.
What requirements do I need in order to enroll?
Any student possessing a high school diploma or GED certificate is eligible to enter the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program.
What jobs will this program prepare me for?
As industrial environmental control systems have become computerized, the local and national demand for highly skilled technician has increased. This program offers students the training and skills needed to install, service, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
