Greetings. Welcome to my web-page, crude as it is. Originally from Havana, Alabama I graduated from Hale County High School before entering Shelton State. I found at SSCC a very warm and welcoming environment, one that now as an employeee I hope that we (re)create for our current students. I was involved in numerous student activities while at Shelton including: Phi Theta Kappa, the Ambassadors, and Scholars' Bowl; I also was the public address announcer for both the men's and
women's basketball teams. Moreover, I was fortunate to receive a scholarship to further my education at the University of Montevallo. As a "Fighting Falcon" I received B.S. Degrees in Political Science and history. Wanting to understand (and learn) more history, I matriculated into The University of Alabama where in 2003 I earned a Masters degree in history. Being the nerd that I am, I continued my studies entering the Higher Education Administration program (also at Bama). Today, I am an academic advisor at Shelton State in addition to teaching Western Civilization classes. My office is in the Advising Center on the Martin campus; feel free to drop by and say hello.
