Evaluation of Foreign Educational Credentials
Persons who hold foreign educational credentials and are interested in applying for either an advertised full-time teaching position or an adjunct (part-time) teaching position must request a course-by-course evaluation by the Foreign Education Credential Service of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO). Evaluations should be sent to Shelton State Community College, Attn: Office of Human Resources, 9500 Old Greensboro Rd., Tuscaloosa, AL 35405. Minimum qualifications for academic disciplines are a Master`s Degree and 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching field. Technical diciplines require a Bachelor`s Degree, 27 credit hours in the teaching field, and three years of successful full-time experience in the technical field. Occupational disciplines require an Associates degree or equivalent (60 semester hours in a planned program), specialized coursework in the occupational field, and three years of successful full-time employment in the occupational field.
